Shura Council chairman hails HM King’s keynote speech

Manama, Sept.24 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh hailed the keynote speech, which was delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa before the UN General Assembly (UNGA) 75th Session.

 

He praised the royal address which, he said, reflected Bahrain’s aspirations regarding current global challenges, hailing HM the King’s keenness on promoting peace and coexistence in the region.

 

He paid tribute to HM the King, hailing his bold initiative, endorsing peace between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel, while reiterating firm commitment to reaching a just, comprehensive and lasting settlement on the basis of the international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

 

Al-Saleh said that the people of Bahrain stands united with HM the King in confronting challenges, stressing Bahrain’s keenness on international concerted efforts to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

He commended HM the King’s humanitarian approach, providing healthcare for citizens and residents so as to overcome the pandemic which is affecting the whole world.

 

Al-Saleh hailed HM the King’s Arab and Islamic stances, which represent key funamentals of Bahrain’s foreign policy and its strategic relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Egypt.
