Youth Ministry launches 'Bahrain Festivals'

Manama, Dec. 3 (BNA): Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry has launched the “Bahrain Festivals” event at youth centres and national clubs, as part of the kingdom’s celebrations of its national days.

 

The event is within the initiatives launched by the Youth Ministry within the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainuna).

 

The Youth Ministry will cooperate with national clubs and youth centres to launch about 120 youth, sports, cultural and social prgrammes that are consistent with the Bahrainuna initiative aimed at promoting belonging and loyalty to the nation through celebrating the national days.

 

On the occasion, Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Ayman bin Tawfeeq Al-Moayyad, stressed that since the launch of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism, which embodies His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision on strengthening citizenship and belonging to the nation, the Youth Ministry has launched many initiatives and programmes that are in line with the principles, mission and goals of the “Bahrainuna”.

 

The minister stressed that the national days provide a perfect opportunity to organise many youth and sports events that contribute to promoting belonging to the nation, as well as to celebrate the landmark achievements attained by the Bahraini athletes.  

 

He urged Bahraini youth to participate actively in the various programmes, as they are part of their interests and skills.
