Bahrain-Saudi cooperation in housing discussed

Riyadh, Sept. 15 (BNA): Housing and Urban Planning Minster, Amna bint Ajmed Al-Rumaihi, held a meeting with Saudi Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid bin Abdulla Al-Hogail.

During the meeting, Al-Rumaihi affirmed the depth of the deep-rooted brotherly Bahraini-Saudi relations, praising the steady progress of bilateral ties across various fields as a result of the ongoing support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

She also commended the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of social housing, praising Saudi Arabia's support for the plans and projects implemented by Bahrain's Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.

The Saudi minister reviewed his country's efforts to provide housing services to its citizens, as well as the partnership initiatives with the private sector.

In this regard, he highlighted the "Sakani" Programme, which is among the most successful initiatives launched in Saudi Arabia to increase home ownership among its citizens.

The two sides agreed to continue their cooperation and coordination in issues related to housing in the coming period.
