Representatives Council-EWA cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 23 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, today received the member of the Council of Representatives, MP Ahmed Al-Salloum, the representative of the Capital Governorate’s fifth constituency.

They discussed a number of topics related to the electricity and water sectors. They also reviewed the future projects of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), as well as its recent achievements.

They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between EWA and the Representatives Council, through supporting EWA’s plans aimed at constantly improving its services.

The minister lauded the dedicated efforts exerted by lawmakers to raise and discuss issues that are directly related to the citizens’ interests, as well as to the on-going cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to achieve the citizens’ aspirations, and improve the quality and efficiency of the delivered services, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to strengthen Legislature-Executive cooperation.

MP Al-Salloum reviewed the service needs of his constituency, stressing the importance of continuous cooperation in delivering the best services to the citizens and residents.
