Foreign Minister highlights late UAE President’s honourable legacy

Manama, May 13 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, has expressed the sincere condolences and sympathy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, its leader, government, and people to the brotherly United Arab Emirates on the demise of the late President of the UAE, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who will be remembered for his service for his homeland and for the causes of the Arab and Islamic nation and humanity.

 

The Minister affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and his government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, remember with all affection, appreciation, and pride the merits of the late HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed in leading the Emirates and enhancing its leading position in the modern development and civilisation renaissance, and his outstanding contributions to strengthening Bahraini-Emirati relations, and their prosperity as a historical model for fraternal cohesion and strategic partnership stemming from the unity of religion, language, blood, destiny, bonds of love, lineage, and ties of kinship, and joint support for the unity of the Gulf Cooperation Council and joint Arab and Islamic solidarity. 

 

 He stressed that the demise of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed, may Allah the Almighty rest his soul in eternal peace, constitutes a great loss for the brotherly United Arab Emirates, and to the countries of the GCC and the Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the whole world, noting that they lost a wise President who loved his country and people, and an inspiring leader who devoted his life to strengthening the bonds of GCC brotherhood and supporting the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation.

He added that the late President had left a great and honourable legacy that will be immortalised by history in establishing the values of tolerance, moderation, and peace and supporting international humanitarian work, which earned him the love of all and the appreciation of the leaders and peoples of the world.

 

Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and to Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, as well as to His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and to the Al Nahyan family, the UAE people, the GCC peoples and the whole world.
