Manama, Dec. 1 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa met, in the presence of Municipalities' Affairs and Agriculture Minister, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, members of the Capital Trustees and municipal councils.
He congratulated the members of the Capital Trustees on the precious royal trust bestowed upon them, and other municipal councillors on obtaining the popular trust, noting that they form a link between the citizens and the executive apparatus of the ministry.
He affirmed the municipal councils’ support towards the national action in achieving the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
"The sixth municipal term, based on the recently held national elections, is considered a developmental process in order to serve the Kingdom," the deputy prime minister said.
Minister Al Mubarak affirmed that municipal work in the Kingdom, as one of the tributaries of the comprehensive development process of His Majesty the King, constitutes a distinguished model in the popular participation in the decision-making process in the municipal and service work fields.
