Shura Chairman hails endorsement of Government Programme

Manama, Jan. 12 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has asserted that the consensus between the Representatives Council and the government on the Government Programme 2023-2026 consolidates legislature-executive cooperation and coordination to ensure the sustainability of the comprehensive development process during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era.

He expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King for HM’s unwavering support for achieving prosperity optimising national gains in various fields.

He affirmed that the endorsement of the Government Action Plan after a series of fruitful meetings and discussions reflects keenness to develop an integrated and comprehensive programmes that outlines the government’s work during the next four years.

In this regard, he commended the pivotal role played by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as HRH’s direct follow-up.

He indicated that HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives that contributed to reaching consensus and common visions that achieve national interests, and enhance the quality of government work, which will implement the royal directives.

The Shura Chairman also praised the role played by the Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and ministers for their sincere cooperation with the Council of Representatives.

He commended the ongoing efforts exerted by the Council of Representatives, led by Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, praising the rich and valuable opinions and ideas of lawmakers while discussing the Government Programme.

He affirmed that the Government Action Plan is a roadmap for achieving the aspirations of the nation and the citizens.
