Manama, Jan. 11 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has sent a cable of condolences to HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al-Said of Oman, following the sad demise of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman, who passed away today.
HM the King extended deepest condolences to HM Sultan Haitham, as well as the Royal Court and the brotherly Omani people, noting that the Arab and Islamic worlds have lost a wise leader.
HM King Hamad recalled the key role played by the deceased in his country’s renaissance and prosperity, highlighting his role in supporting the Gulf Copperation Council (GCC), in addition to his noble stances towards Arab and Islamic issues.
HM the King hailed the distinguished status enjoyed by the Sultanate of Oman under the leadership of the late Sultan Qaboos at the international level.
HM King Hamad prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in eternal peace, wishing HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq every success in carrying on the development march in his country.
