Five OIC member states receive finance support

Jeddah,  Jun.3 (BNA): The Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF), one of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)  subsidiary organs, extended urgent financial grants to least developed member countries to enhance their capacity contain the adverse consequences of the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).


Cheques which were approved by OIC  Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen wered have been delivered to the representatives of permanent missions of Palestine, Somalia, Niger, Burkina Faso and Uganda.

The grants aim to support the beneficiary countries to tackle the shortage of basic medical supplies and equipment such as diagnostic devices, personal protective equipment for health professionals, face masks and ventilators, medicine, beds, and intensive care units (ICU) equipment.
