'HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister's orders to revitalise national economy'

Manama, Oct. 7 (BNA): Members of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Businessmen Association (BBA) have valued highly the orders and directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to cancel the flexible work permit, scrap the system of recovering infrastructure costs related to the issue of building licenses, and develop financing solutions to provide infrastructure in the new residential areas.


They affirmed that the orders will reflect positively on the national economy, as well as benefit the citizens and all commercial sectors.


In this regard, BBA Deputy Board of Directors Chairman, Isa Abdulrahim, affirmed that the exceptional orders have spread an atmosphere of joy and optimism across the kingdom, particularly among the affiliates of the business sector, as they pave the way for ensuring a promising future, during HM the King’s prosperous era, supported by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


He added that the directives will revitalise the commercial markets, and boost urban movement and economic growth, as they will contribute to attracting capital to the kingdom, stressing that the decisions were in response to the desire of a wide sector of businessmen and the trade community, which indicates HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s closeness to the private sector and keenness to secure the interests of the various economic sectors in the Kingdom.


BBA Secretary-General and Chairman of the Commercial Markets Committee, Nabeel Ajoor, commended HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s orders, noting that the scrapping of Flexi Permit will have positive impacts on various commercial markets and the national economy, especially small and medium enterprises, by creating an environment fair competition for all workers in the commercial market, and putting an end to the violations and abuses that were practised by the holders of the flexible work permit.


This would enhance the chances of economic growth, he said, stressing that HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister always attaches great importance to the national economy, out of HRH’s strong belief in the role of the private sector in achieving greater welfare for citizens.


Ajoor also pointed out that HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister is always keen to make the citizen a priority in the labour market, adding that the recent orders confirm HRH’s keenness to meet the needs of the private sector and create ideal conditions for it to play its role in enhancing the development process in t eh kingdom.
