Manama, Nov.11 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia with a booby-trapped drone targeting Qena's commercial and oil port in Shabwa Governorate, southeast of Yemen.

The Foreign Minister denounced the criminal act that reflects the persistence of the terrorist militia in its violations of international covenants, its encroachment on civilian facilities, and its threat to maritime traffic and global trade.

In a statement, the ministry reiterated Bahrain’s solidarity with the Republic of Yemen, backing the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen Hans Grundberg to maintain the truce and reach a political settlement on the basis of the GCC initiative, the outcome of the National Dialogue and the UN Security Council’s Resolution 2216.
