Foreign Minister offers condolences to Syria

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today visited the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in the Kingdom of Bahrain to offer condolences over the victims of the earthquake that struck the northern regions of Syria and the south of the Republic of Türkiye yesterday.


The Foreign Minister expressed to the Ambassador-designate of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Kingdom, Mohammed Ali Ibrahim, the sincere condolences and sympathy of the Kingdom of Bahrain -King, government and people, to the Syrian government and people over the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the northern regions of Syria and a number of states in the southeastern regions of Türkiye, which resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of people, and collapse of buildings, homes and property.


He extended his wishes of speedy recovery to all the injured, stressing the Kingdom’s sympathy and solidarity with Syria and its people in this painful disaster.
