SCIA praises National ActionCharter, BDF

Manama, Feb. 23 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) has extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the 20th anniversary of the National Action Charter (NAC) and the 53rd anniversary of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).

 

During its regular meeting, held today remotely under the chairmanship of its President Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the SCIA asserted that the National Action Charter is a cherished national occasion that embodies HM the King’s wise vision and resolve to enhance the kingdom’s development and modernisation.

 

The SCIA stressed that the NAC anniversary is an occasion to highlight the overwhelming popular solidarity with the royal aspirations to ensure a brighter future for the kingdom in a way that preserves the values of religion, Arab belonging, and traditions, as well as protects fundamentals, achievements and liberties, and consolidates the bases of national belonging, unity and peace.

 

The Council also praised the major role played by the BDF and other security and military sectors in preserving the kingdom’s national achievements and defending its security, stability and independence, praying to Allah the Almighty to bless Bahrain with ever-lasting security and prosperity.

 

Regarding the latest health developments, the SCIA lauded the wise vision, close follow-up and dedicated efforts of Team Bahrain, led by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic, calling on everyone to continue complying with the precautionary measures to ensure public safety.

 

The SCIA also reviewed the report of its Secretariat-General on its follow-up on 25 mosque construction projects across the kingdom, eight of which are undertaken by the SCIA, and 17 others are implemented by philanthropists.

 

In this regard, the SCIA expressed sincere thanks to HM the King for allocating the necessary land lots to establish or expand houses of worship, lauding the efforts of the government, led by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to provide the necessary facilities and services in this field. 


It also praised the cooperation of the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry, and the Sunni and Jaffari endowments directors, paying tribute to philanthropists for their contributions to efforts to build mosques.
