HRH the Crown Prince welcomes the Prime Minister of the Republic of India

Manama, Aug.24 (BNA):  His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, HE Narendra Modi, on the side-lines of the Prime Minister’s official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the strength of relations between Bahrain and India, which continue to expand across all levels, in line with HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision.
HRH the Crown Prince recalled the various mutual visits that have taken place over recent years, which have been reflected by positive growth in bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
HRH the Crown Prince welcomed HE the Prime Minister of India to Bahrain and highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation, which will contribute to increased investment and opportunities, benefiting both countries and their citizens.
HRH the Crown Prince paid special attention to the Indian community within Bahrain, highlighting their contributions to the Kingdom’s economic development. HRH the Crown Prince further noted the Kingdom’s continued commitment to further strengthening cooperative ties with India, in order to support the sustainable development goals of both countries.
HRH the Crown Prince and HE Prime Minister Modi also reviewed regional and international issues of common interest, with HRH the Crown Prince noting India’s role in combating terrorism and enhancing security and stability within the region.
For his part, HE Modi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet HRH the Crown Prince, and highlighted HRH the Crown Prince’s active support to bolstering ties between Bahrain and India.
HE Modi further wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity under the leadership of HM the King.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and a number of officials attended the meeting.
