Bahrain's strides in protecting children's rights stressed
Manama, Nov. 19 (BNA): The Labour and Social Development Ministry underlined Bahrain’s annual participation in the celebration marking the Universal Children’s Day and the World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse which are observed on November 19 and 20, in line with a recommendation by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954. The event is considered as an opportunity to re-assert the need to prevent violence against children and provide them with a secure environment for their upbringing by shedding light on main programmes and challenges and taking the necessary procedures to protect the children’s interest and promote their welfare.
